For this back in the days were going back to the mid 2000s, where 411 showed an ad for Affiliate Skateboards . Affiliate skateboards was rad, Because from an outsider looking in, it was a similar vibe to like I would say maybe ipath shoes maybe, interms of the ads and art direction. The team had og chicago skaters such as Johnny Fonseca & Neen Williams as well as SF legends like Lavar Mcbride who rode for world industries in the 90s… and Pat Washington who I think rode for a company called Western Edition from SF

Skateboard companies really do feel like bands sometimes or maybe like a rap group, where each brand has their own vibe and different skaters vibe with one brand more than other brands, and just like rap groups and metal bands, they have their place and time and just the magic of the right ingredients and the right time can fade away,
Affiliate skateboards may not be around today, but they are definitely a chapter in the Scene of chicago skateboarding and have paid their dues that ppl after the fact like my self even know about it and loved the raw street skating vibes
Much love to Johnny Fonseca and everyone involved in Affiliate, legendary shit! – Miles
