With what looks like a front crook on a stair ledge on Damen Ave in little village/Pilsen area.
I feel here in Chicago, there’s two types of spots, the nice smooth granite spots of downtown, and the gritty crusty spots of the outer neighborhoods. I think spots that are not only crusty, but the simplicity of a waxed up ledge stair spot, speaks more to the real soul of Chicago. Spots like these on Damen feel more true to not only to the spirit of skating, and the real Chicago you don’t see on the news or a Instagram highlight reel… more true to life as we know it to be.
